Fair trade ice tea in Demeter quality, sweetened with raw cane sugar. For this fair trade ice tea, we source hand-picked Demeter hibiscus flowers from our growing partner SEKEM in Egypt. SEKEM and its... founder Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish stands for a unique network of processing plants, culture and social commitment and for unparalleled ecological and fair thinking and action. Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish was awarded the Alternative Nobel Prize for this in 2003. The sugar cane comes from Manduriva smallholder-co-operative. This co-operative has successfully been working according to the principles of bio-farming since 1996 and has already converted a part of its acreage to biodynamic farming. When buying this product, you make a contribution to the improvement of the living and working conditions of smallholders, workers on farms and in processing facilities of the producer countries as well as to the promotion of environmental protection.
